Contrave contains a combination of bupropion and naltrexone. Bupropion is an antidepressant medicine that can also decrease appetite. Naltrexone is usually given to block the effects of narcotics or alcohol in people with addiction problems. Naltrexone may also curb hunger and food cravings.

Contrave does not work for everyone. It's designed to curb your appetite but it is not a miracle drug. You must use self control as well. This pill will not remove your desire for food completely but when taken correctly you will more than likely never overeat again. I lost a total of 19lbs in eight weeks and that was without exercise.
