For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God's children. And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. Romans 8:16-18
What is an heir? Webster tells us it is someone who inherits or is entitled to succeed to a hereditary rank, title, or office (heir to the throne). Google says it is a person legally entitled to the property or rand of another on that person's death, or a person inheriting and continuing the legacy of a predecessor.
Ok, Jen, so what does that have to do with me? Well, I'm glad you asked!! Jesus is our predecessor. He is the Son of God, who is The One True King. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, so he left us an inheritance to the Kingdom. The only condition in "the will", is that we follow the instructions (the bible) given by God, our Father. Simple enough, right? Keep reading...
But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering. -Romans 8:18. Lets look at our modern day princesses. Megan Markel, Kate Middleton, Ariel, Jasmine, Tiana, Cinderella, Snow White, Aurora, and Rapunzel. What do they all have in common? They all had to go through something to become who they are. Whether by marriage or by birth, their destiny was to be a princess, which will ultimately lead them to being a queen. With such destiny comes suffering. As beautiful and smart as they all are; they still had to go through something that tested them, and tried to keep them from getting to their destiny. The good news is, despite the obvious of them all "living happily every after" (lol)....THEY GOT THROUGH IT!!! When God has a calling on your life, there is nothing....and I mean absolutely NOTHING.....on this Earth that will keep you from it! As long as you keep your head up, eyes on Him, and open communication (prayer) with Him, the sky is the limit. Let's make a pact to show our little princesses how valuable they are now, so that when the time comes, they will bloom into extraordinary queens!
So, you're a Queen, huh? Yes, you absolutely are!!!
In our culture today, we use the word “Queen” to describe who we are, what we are about, and to uplift/empower us so much that it is almost becoming redundant. But do we really know that we are queens? I mean, REALLY KNOW?? I mean, yea, it looks great on a shirt, and the memes are on point....but do you realize how much power you have over your life? Life and death are in the power of YOUR tongue... -Proverbs 18:21. The word “Queen” is not just a noun, and shouldn't be treated as a mascot. It is a lifestyle. It is an image of The Most High, and all of His Glory! When you think about it like that, would you want to use it so lightly, just because it's what's trending? DON'T! Walk in it. Pray in it. Live in it. Breath in it. Adjust your crown, and walk through that storm as though so you have an invisible force field that is deflecting all the wind and debris from hurting you and/or knocking you off course; because guess what....you do! I don't know about you, but if Jesus can DIE for me....I can do whatever it is he asks of me!
You can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! -Philippians 4:13
Be blessed, Your Majesty!
