Majority grown in Kentucky, produced in Kansas and other notable sources such as Colorado and West Coast. Tell us your story about how you got started in your business. Being an Ex-Pro Athlete with injuries, surgeries, pain, anxiety, stress, concussions, etc. Came with all type of medication that causes major side effects. I always believed in a better way that's natural. I was working in sales with Kyle Struebing which was my manager at the time. The opportunity presented itself not only to invest in a natural franchise, natural lifestyle, and lead me to becoming a full-time entrepreneur! Which has been one of the most rewarding moves I've made. What is your motivation to keep going with your business? What is your "Why"? I've always had the mindset of an entrepreneur and building wealth for my family while helping others. That's my motivation and why. I see it no other way. What was the toughest thing you endured in your business? Being patient and staying consistent How has COVID-19 effected your business? COVID-19 has affected my business in a positive why. Considering that it stirred up plenty of anxiety, stress, sickness etc. Which my business has been essential in helping people with their concerns and more. If there was one thing you would change about how you started your business, what was it? Nothing. It’s all a growing process and you learn from your makes as the industry becomes more innovative. What "nugget" would you share with our readers that are entrepreneurs, or thinking about becoming entrepreneurs? Commit yourself full-time 100%. |

My name is Marcus Rhodes. I am the owner and operator of Air-Rx Professional Duct Cleaning. We specialize in indoor air quality. We deal with mold issues, allergies, air flow, air balancing, duct repair. Also, we are helping churches and local businesses fight against COVID-19 by offering Disinfectant and Sanitizing services. I am an 8-yr military veteran originally from Marshall TX. Tell us your story about how you got started in your business. I have always been an entrepreneur of some sort since I was a kid. But the pressures of society soon can make young black mean lose sight of what they can truly be. Fighting to get out of my hometown I joined the Navy. Traveled the world and learned a lot of valuable life lessons. After getting out I joined the reserves. I worked a lot of jobs and went to school several times sold cars opened and closed businesses until I found what I loved HVAC I love fixing things and helping people. So, I tried the businesses thing again and decided to open Air-Rx. What is your motivation to keep going with your business? What is your "Why"? I want to be a leader of my generation I want to leave a legacy I want other young men and women to know that if your dedicated to something worth investing yourself in it will pay off. What was the toughest thing you endured in your business? Get out of my own way. How has COVID-19 effected your business? It grew my business tremendously it pushed us to the for front. If there was one thing you would change about how you started your business, what was it? Nothing. What "nugget" would you share with our readers that are entrepreneurs, or thinking about becoming entrepreneurs? Never think you have arrived. Also, don’t be afraid to move the goal post even when you think your about to score. |
