PATHETIC APOLOGIES....
"Don't darken my doorstep Your pathetic apologies Are not welcomed here You abandoned your responsibilities; Few tears were shed here You carried the scent of a coward Your disappearance was predictable You darken my doorstep Asking me, wanting me To open my heart to you I'll forgive you, but never forget The pain you introduced into my life Naive, I allowed it But it's a new day Did thoughts sprint and hurdle... Through that nibble of a brain? Thoughts that I'd let you back Back into my life, yeah right? Burnt bridges you can't cross twice You darken my doorstep To attempt to articulate those Pathetic apologies Hmmph, You're a little too late" By Tonika Wheeler To purchase the book " Damaged Goods" go to www.tywheeler.com

MEMORANDA.. "People misuse, abuse and throw the word love around because they don't understand it Love is more than a feeling Feelings come and go like gas bubbles It's living and being for each other It's inhaling that individual into your soul"... AND NEVER EXHALING!" Author -Tonika Wheeler ![]() To purchase the book " Damaged Goods" go to www.tywheeler.com ![]() This poem was submitted to View Woman by one of our viewers. A young lady wrote this after having a hard time dealing with her father leaving her mother for another woman. "Leaving behind others to take your place, carrying on your name, walking around with your face knowing you get left behind, wondering what’s on my fathers mind, he didn’t even think to try. To leave my mothers tears running down her beautiful face left me only to embrace, only for me to ask her why? My mother can give me answers; my father left us behind so he can give his love to another, but can’t give his love to me? My mother would give her life, as she’s given life to me, my father I hope to love, but will he ever love me? He can make a life and keep on living his, but what is it like to live without a father, he doesn’t even know, because he doesn’t even care. He left me, he left her, and he left us." -Author unknown |
